A Focused Consultation
There are a variety of types of refractive surgery, all with their own pros and cons. A comprehensive eye exam will allow us to determine which surgical correction strategy is best for your eyes. We’ll dilate your eyes so we can assess your eye health and other characteristics. During the exam, we’ll measure your corneal thickness, curvature, and topography.
We’ll also take any eye conditions into consideration. If you have thin corneas, for example, we might recommend PRK over LASIK surgery. We’ll also measure your acuity and refractive error, as different types of laser surgery are better suited to nearsightedness or farsightedness.
