Your eyes depend on regular eye exams to keep them healthy. Associates in Eyecare – Stone Ridge ensure your eyes get the care and attention they deserve. To help safeguard your vision, all comprehensive eye exams performed in our office include testing for vision-threatening diseases and conditions including glaucoma and cataracts.
Your optometrist can learn a lot about your overall health by looking at the delicate blood vessels in your eyes. Diabetes, high blood pressure, and other serious conditions can be detected using an eye exam, often before they begin to exhibit symptoms. This early detection means you can get the care you need as soon as possible.
The American Optometric Association recommends that adults between the ages of 18 and 64 have their eyes examined at least once every two years. However, most optometrists strongly suggest that adults visit annually. This holds especially true for patients with a previous history or family history of vision problems or eye diseases.
Since our eyes require more care and attention as they age, the American Optometric Association suggest that adults 65 and older have their eyes examined annually.
These guidelines apply to most people, but depending on your unique situation, your optometrist may suggest you visit more frequently.
To begin the exam, we will review your medical and ocular history with you and address any questions or concerns that you may have.
The purpose of an eye exam is to assess your vision and the overall health of your eyes, track subtle changes, and detect problems as soon as possible, so you can begin treatment. As such, we use cutting-edge diagnostic techniques, including retinal imaging, to detect and treat serious eye diseases.

What a great experience with Associated in Eyecare Optometrists. The staff was very professional and helpful. They took the time to listen with our concerns and were very understanding with our needs. Highly recommend going to see them.
Everyone here is always so kind and helpful. I never feel like they are rushing me to get to someone else. The doc sat with my son for an hour, patiently coaching and helping him get is first contacts in and out and in again. Thanks to all.
Everyone was super welcoming. The Doctor explained everything and showed me pictures of the backs of my eyes. They explained how everything worked with my insurance and was very helpful picking out my new glasses. I will recommend them to everyone I know.
